Meet the Creators: Jeff Desautels

Jeff Desautels doesn't pronounce the last 'S' in his name. His goal, in the creation of BANG! The Wildest Western Melodrama, was to be a character that was 100% evil. He plays our railroad baron, Malcolm Rotterman, whose devilish plans may wreak havoc on Harmony. We asked Jeff some soul-searching questions:

Who would you be in a Wild West town? I believe I would manage the General Store.

What do you order at the saloon? Whiskey!

What is your Harry Potter House? Huffledor. (The hufflepuff/grryffindor combo :-) )

PROGRAM BIO:

Jeff is a Teaching Artist with Kaiser Permanente's Educational Theatre Program in collaboration with Oregon Children's Theatre. He has worked throughout New England and the West Coast as an actor, clown, performance artist, director, teacher, writer, props master, and lighting technician. Jeff is a founder of the clown trio Box of Clowns, traveling to festivals across North America. He has taught physical theater with Echo Theater and has performed with Tears of Joy Theater, Sir Cupcake’s Queer Circus, and at multiple arts events at The Steep and Thorny Way to Heaven.
