Angela Van Epps

as 'Kit Doolin'

Angela Van Epps has dreamed for years about a Western Melodrama based on the card game BANG! She is thrilled to watch it come to life.  Angela has studied and experimented with theatre at Dell 'Arte International School of Physical Theatre, Wesley Institute in Sydney, Australia, and Bethel University.  By day Angela assists at a local elementary school, by night she sews, reads, creates theatre, and plays board games.  All of her recent adventures have been made possible by the immense support of Chase Van Epps, her husband on and off stage.

three original shows and one zombie movie. Trained at the Dell'arte
International School of Physical Theatre, she is now a touring artist
based out of Portland, OR.

A Korean American actor and writer (heath-hyun.net). Recent stage appearances include work with Theatre Vertigo (Assistance), Salt and Sage (Midsummer Night’s Dream), and Post5 Theatre Co. (King Lear). He currently serves as Artistic Director for Well Arts Institute (wellarts.org).

Jeff Desautels

as 'Malcolm Rotterman'

Jeff is a Teaching Artist with Kaiser Permanente's Educational Theatre Program in collaboration with Oregon Children's Theatre. He has worked throughout New England and the West Coast as an actor, clown, performance artist, director, teacher, writer, props master, and lighting technician. Jeff is a founder of the clown trio Box of Clowns, traveling to festivals across North America. He has taught physical theater with Echo Theater and has performed with Tears of Joy Theater, Sir Cupcake’s Queer Circus, and at multiple arts events at The Steep and Thorny Way to Heaven.

Laura Loy

as 'Melody Mae'

Laura Loy is an actor-creator, singer, dancer, director, teacher and Incendiary/Founder of Box of Clowns. She believes in the transformative power of art and is currently working on ripping apart the time-space continuum with the help of an audience. Since beginning her career in her backyard, she has gone on to perform in venues across North America. Portland credits include work with Imago, Tears of Joy, and the steep & thorny way to heaven. Miss Loy is a graduate of the Univ. of New Hampshire with a BA in Theatre & Dance and the PTP at Dell’Arte International School of Physical Theatre.

London Bauman

as 'Barnaby'

London is a musician, sound designer, company member at The Steep & Thorny Way to Heaven and a Portland native. He likes low-budget theatre, drinking water, rock climbing and the color seafoam. He would like to thank Box of Clowns and the cast of Bang! for inviting him into this ride of a production.

"Theatre is the last great magic", and Sean Andries is a f*cking wizard. Since earning his Bachelors degree in Theatre Arts he has traveled the country working with, training under and performing for such monsters of the modern American Theatre as Richard Foreman (Ontological-Hysteric Theatre), Jon Jory (Actors’ Theatre of Louisville) and Ronlin Foreman (Dell’Arte International). As a director, deviser and performer, Sean has helped bring more than two dozen original productions to life on stage over the last 10 years because he believes firmly that, “life is too short to play other people’s songs.”
